STORM WATCH 2026: The I-20 Emergency Network is Mobilizing!

Calling All Radio Operators, Weather Enthusiasts, and Public Safety Volunteers!

Are you located along the I-20 corridor between East Texas and Western Mississippi? We are officially launching a massive recruitment drive to build the most resilient, real-time emergency communication network in the region—and we want YOU on the front lines.

As we prepare for the 2026 storm and hurricane season, Managed Radio Emergency Services (MRES) is mobilizing a specialized team of volunteer spotters. We are seeking dedicated individuals—especially FCC-licensed Amateur Radio Operators—to help us bridge the gap in emergency communications when traditional systems are at their limit.

Why We Need You Now

We are currently soliciting applicants to establish a vital "head count" for the 2026 season. By joining now, you help us:

  • Provision Equipment: Accurate numbers help us secure the necessary radio hardware and network resources.

  • Map Our Coverage: We need to show non-profit organizations and area businesses (such as utilities and emergency services) exactly where our "boots on the ground" are located.

  • Strengthen Public Safety: Your reports provide the ground-truth data that meteorologists and local authorities rely on to save lives.

Be the Eyes and Ears of Your Community

This is your chance to turn your passion for weather and radio into a high-impact service. Whether you are a seasoned HAM with ARES experience or a weather watcher looking to step up, Managed Radio Services (MRS) provides the structured communications platform needed to ensure your reports get through when they matter most.

Join the Mission Today!

Membership in the MRES network is completely FREE. Help us build a "wall of watchers" along I-20 to protect our neighbors and support our local responders.

Ready to stand up and be counted? Visit www.ManagedRadioServices.com right now to learn more about the program and secure your spot in the 2026 Volunteer Network.

Let’s get to work — Your community is counting on you!

Membership is free, which allows people to participate on the website. An annual subscription is still required to receive a radio. However, once I have a headcount of those wanting to participate, I'll be approaching organizations and businesses to act as sponsors to cover the costs.

Managed Radio Services (MRS) operates over the national LTE data network and is fully dependent on carrier signal availability. As such, service cannot be guaranteed in areas with weak or no LTE coverage. We are not responsible for disruptions due to poor reception, network congestion, tower outages, SIM failures, or loss of carrier service. If a cellular signal is present, LTE service can generally be expected; however, performance is not guaranteed, and users may still experience reduced quality or intermittent connectivity depending on local network conditions. Users are strongly encouraged to test coverage in their primary operating area before relying on MRS for critical communication.
